Trainees must:
- Hold a valid class 1 medical,
- Hold an expired AIRBUS A320 Type Rating.

TRAINING
According to AMC 1 FCL.740(b), the type rating renewal programme is tailored to the trainee's profile (flight experience, time elapsed since the end of the type rating's validity, date of last flight, etc.) in order to guarantee safe flight operations of the aircraft type.
A trainee competency assessment is set.Interview and/or systems oral assessment and/or OTD training as assessment.
Following the evaluation:
it may be possible to pass a proficiency check (appendix 9) without prior training.
Or
A bespoke training programme, tailored to the applicant's needs, will be issued.:
Systems review: 1 or 2 days,
Or/And Other Training Device (OTD) session(s): 1 or 2 sessions of 4 hours,
Or/And Full Flight Simulator (FFS) session(s): 1 to 3 sessions of 4 hours.
Depending on the profile, a full Additional type rating can also be decided.
ASSESSMENT
Theoretical knowledge examination if theoretical course. FFS proficiency check.
