I completed the A320 Type Rating with integrated MCC at Icare.
The integration of MCC into type rating is a major asset: it allows us to approach type qualification with much more serenity. Indeed, a large part of the normal and abnormal procedures are already assimilated beforehand, which allows for a deepening of knowledge and going into greater depth during type rating.
The quality of the instruction is also worth highlighting. The instructors are experienced and pass on their know-how with a demanding yet benevolent approach.
Furthermore, both simulators are very high-performing, with special mention for the Full Flight Simulator (FFS), which allowed me to carry out the base training in a perfectly familiar environment.
Finally, the fact that Icare has its own simulators allows for daytime slots, which optimises the learning pace and training comfort.
I recommend the MCC + A320 Type Rating training to any pilot who does not have the MCC and wishes to invest in the A320 Type Rating.

I completed my A320 Type Rating at the Icare school in Morlaix and my experience was excellent from start to finish.
The strengths are numerous:
– The school selects the pairs, which guarantees consistent pairing in terms of skill level and working dynamics.
– The same instructor throughout the training, allowing for rigorous educational monitoring, real continuity in progress and precise, personalised feedback.
– Daytime simulator schedules, which optimise concentration and limit fatigue. – Particularly competent instructors, demanding but pedagogical, with a real operational culture.
– Base training planned for the week following the skill test, which allows for maintaining momentum and continuing without loss of rhythm.
Objectively, I haven’t identified any weaknesses, apart from the Breton rain 😂.
I recommend this school without reservation for the quality of its supervision, its organisation and its seriousness.

When you start an Airbus TR, you know the road will be demanding... but also exciting.
I had the good fortune to live this experience at ICARE, in Morlaix, in an ideal environment for learning and progressing.

ICARE trains for the A320 restricted type rating on a simulator, while playing a real role as a facilitator to support trainees in their base training thanks to its partners.
Thanks to this organisation, I was able to approach my offline flight with serenity and confidence.
