This training concerns TRI(A) (Type Rating Instructor) who wishes to act as TRE(A) (Type Rating Examiner).

TRE(A) AUTHORISATION: First delivery
Objectives
The aim of this course is to provide the applicant with the necessary assets to assume the privileges of an examiner.
Prerequisites
Any applicant for a first TRE(A) authorisation must:
- Hold a valid Class 1 medical.,
- Have completed 1500 hours of flight time as pilot of multi-pilot aeroplanes, as applicable, of which at least 500 hours shall be as PIC.
- Hold a CPL or ATPL licence
- Hold a TRI certificate for the applicable type.
- For the initial issue of a TRE certificate, have completed at least 50 hours of flight instruction as a TRI, SFI in the applicable type or an FSTD representing that type.
- Justify knowledge related to examiner's privileges
- Be liable for any suspension, limitation or licence revocation during the last 3 years
A preliminary phone interview with the ICARE Head of Training has been organised.

- TRAINING SIMULATOR: 6 HOURS (CRJ or A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS))
(*) If a trainee is not qualified in the use of the IOS (Instructor Operating System) and simulator monitoring, specific training will be provided. Duration: 2 hours

COMPETENCE ASSESSMENT
The applicant will have to pass a competence assessment within 12 months of completing the course. This will be managed by the applicant and the Authority directly and is not ICARE's responsibility.
