TRI(A) CL65 first delivery

This training concerns pilots who wish to act as TRI(A) (Synthetic Flight Instructor) CL65.

Objectives

The aim of this course is to equip the applicant with the necessary assets to ensure a sufficient grasp of theoretical knowledge and various practices adapted to classroom and simulator training, enabling them to assume the privileges of a TRI(A). The applicant receives training in basic teaching methods, which is implemented during briefings, debriefings, and simulator sessions.

Prerequisites

An applicant for a first TRI A) certificate must:

  • hold a valid class 1 medical,
  • hold a CPL, MPL or ATPL pilot licence on the applicable aircraft category.
  • have completed 1,500 hours of flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes; and
  • had completed, within the 12 months preceding the date of application, 30 route sectors, including take-offs and landings, as PIC or co-pilot on the applicable aeroplane type, CL65, of which 15 sectors may be completed in a full-flight simulator representing that type.

TEACHING AND LEARNING

25H00 (Teaching and learning)

TECHNICAL TRAINING

13:00 (for 2 trainees). Revision of technical knowledge, the preparation of lesson plans and the development of classroom/simulator instructional skills

SIMULATOR TRAINING

On a Level D Full Flight Simulator (FFS):
– 24:00 (for 2 applicants)
– 18:00 (for 1 applicant)

TOTAL DAYS OF TRAINING

10 days (without the 'Age of Calamity' expansion)

ASSESSMENT OF COMPETENCE (AoC)

The applicant will have to perform, under the supervision of a TRE(A), 3 hours of Full Flight Simulator training for the type rating of the aircraft concerned, in compliance with AMC1 FCL.935
