CRJ700/900 Initial Type Rating

This training is for commercial pilots who aim to complete their first type rating on the CRJ 700 or CRJ900.

Objectives

The objectives of this course are to train cockpit crews to operate the aircraft safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved manuals and procedures. Completion ensures that the standards set by EASA regulations are met.

Prerequisites

Trainee pilots must:

  • Hold a valid class 1 medical,
  • Hold or have held an IR(A) multi-engine,
  • Have flown at least 70 hours as pilot in command (PIC),
  • I have passed the ATPL theoretical examinations,
  • Hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an MCC course Or have at least 500 hours as a pilot in multi-pilot operations on single-pilot multi-engine aircraft in commercial air transport in accordance with the applicable air operations requirements,
  • Have completed the specified UPRT course associated with FCL 745.A or ORO.FC.220, ORO.FC.230 or FCL.915(e)(1)(ii).

  • Location: Theoretical training: Morlaix or customer premises. Practical training: Morlaix

THEORETICAL TRAINING

Systems and operating procedures: 65H00
Graphical Flight Simulator (GFS): 12:00
Safety course: 03:00
Normal, Abnormal: 11:00 AM (including 4:00 AM GFS)
Differences course 700 to 900: 2 hours (for CRJ900 variant)

PRACTICAL TRAINING

Briefing, Debriefing: 25:00
Full Flight Simulator (FFS) Level D: 40 Hours

TOTAL HOURS OF TRAINING

156H00 or 158H00 for CRJ900 (excluding checks) equivalent to 25 working days.

This training programme can be finalised with BASE TRAINING (customer aircraft) or ZFTT upon request, subject to eligibility.

ASSESSMENT

Theoretical knowledge examination and FFS skills test.
